One random afternoon last year, I get a midday call from bestie. “What are you doing?” “Working… you?” “Looking at options for a besties cruise!” “Besties as in just us? No parents? No kids?” “Yep. There’s one out of Galveston… and it’s a Marvel Day at Sea cruise.” “When are we going?” And just like that, we were booked on the Disney Magic for January 2026 — the first Marvel Day at Sea sailing of the season. If you know me, you know this was basically destiny. I am fully obsessed with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Early in our friendship, bestie casually mentioned the only Marvel movie she’d ever seen was Avengers: Endgame . Obviously unacceptable.  Over the past year I've been blessed to sail Concierge on both the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder - in the same stateroom no less! I sailed in 8528 on the Disney Wonder for the 2025 February South Pacific cruise from Sydney Australia to Honolulu Hawaii . And then the same room on the Disney Magic for this year's first Marvel Day at Sea cruise out of Galveston in January.  I've previously sailed several times on Disney Fantasy Concierge and once on the Disney Wish. I was really excited about our Disney Wonder trip in Concierge because everyone on the internet seemed to be saying that Disney Wonder was their most favorite of all the Concierge Lounges . I was also intrigued because this is the same ship we sailed on for Panama Canal back in 2015. This led me to Travel Fashion Girl and her associated Facebook group. It was on this site that I first learned about the magic of merino wool clothing for travel and started placing orders from the two shops that seem to be mentioned the most - Wool& and WoolX . I've successfully done carryon trips for extended periods of time to Europe and Australia/South Pacific Cruise relying heavily on my wool wardrobe.  I remember hearing early on about the Wool& 100 day dress challenge , and thinking there's no way on earth I could wear the same dress for 100 days. I vaguely recall seeing a 30 day challenge but still wasn't sold on being able to do it.
