Over the past year I've been blessed to sail Concierge on both the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder - in the same stateroom no less! I sailed in 8528 on the Disney Wonder for the 2025 February South Pacific cruise from Sydney Australia to Honolulu Hawaii. And then the same room on the Disney Magic for this year's first Marvel Day at Sea cruise out of Galveston in January.
I've previously sailed several times on Disney Fantasy Concierge and once on the Disney Wish. I was really excited about our Disney Wonder trip in Concierge because everyone on the internet seemed to be saying that Disney Wonder was their most favorite of all the Concierge Lounges. I was also intrigued because this is the same ship we sailed on for Panama Canal back in 2015. At that time there was no Concierge Lounge and I spent much of that cruise relaxing at the Outlook Cafe at Deck 10 midship - the space that eventually because the Concierge Lounge on both the classic ships.
I'll start with the Disney Wonder first since that's the one I sailed first!
As you entered the host desk was to the left. Food and drink fridge to right as you continued in. Coffee station to the left. The main area was open with some high top tables along the windows to the back that people tended to use for quick bits. Then the wings both to the right and left were enclosed. There was also a restroom immediately before you entered the lounge only accessible to concierge guests which was nicer than having to run down to 9 or your room to use the restroom.
Most of the friends we'd met on our Adventures by Disney Sydney Escape were also in Concierge and we kind of took over a section of the area to the right - which Concierge Host Andy then dubbed as the cheeky corner. He couldn't believe we'd all met just a few days earlier. This side had booth seating along with several pairs of chairs with small tables. It was quite easy for our large group from the ABD to all congregate in one area. We could easily see out to sea through the windows or down to the Quiet Cove pool. There was a very small area that turned into the bar each night. And a door to the outside which would take us upstairs to the private Concierge sundeck which featured shade and comfortable seating.

Occasionally in the evenings you'd find us in the seating area to the left instead. Mostly if "our" space was already taken. This area also had two low tables for the kids near the tv and we ended up taking over these tables to work on a couple puzzles together near the end of the cruise with everyone including the concierge staff jumping in and helping here and there. The area to that side is where the special surprise character greeting was. It was also set up as a small concert space for private concert with polynesian musicans and dancers who came onboard.

Onto the Disney Magic!
I was expecting a similar lounge and was very surprised it was not! From the minute you walked in it was different with the desk on the right side. There was also, disappointingly no restroom available for concierge but it proved to be a minor inconveinence. Food was set up to the right similar to Wonder, coffee to left. But unlike the Wonder there were several tables in between the two sides to sit at in addition to the high tops by the windows.

Our "cheeky corner" to the right was open air on the Disney Magic facing down into the Quiet Cove pool. the other walls were closed off with metal and windows but we did notice an opening in one spot where air could still come through. It had comfortable outdoor style seating. We rarely saw anyone using this outdoor space on the Magic.

The space to the left was totally different on the Disney Magic. Starting with the fridge with beverages was in the entry to the space. And then there was both a second coffee station set up, and a large bar taking up the same space where our Polynesian performance had occured on the Wonder. This area feastured several seating groupings in various sizes from a pair of chairs around a table to large groupings with a couch and chairs around a coffee table. It was full enclosed and looked down into Quiet Cove pool and out to sea.

Which did I like better?? Overall I had to agree with what I'd heard. Disney Wonder lounge is second to none. I loved all the indoor space and it had an intimate feel. That said, the addition of the second coffee bar was great on the Magic. And for those who enjoyed evening happy hour the bar was amazing. It still would get a line built up but the line seemed less obtrusive then the one on the Wonder would get. Beyond the lounge itself, the crew on the Wonder really made it magical. Of course with two weeks onboard it was a lot of time to get to know the guests and that really helped deliver a world class experience.

Would I sail both again - absolutely! But for now I'm looking forward to Disney Dream on the September 2026 Westbound Transatlantic! Its been a few years since I sailed concierge on the Disney Fantasy and I'm excited to experience the newly expanded lounge the Dream put in place during drydock last year. Not to mention a reunion with most of our ABD/South Pacific cruise family!
